In January I posted an incredibly moving public service announcement about seatbelt safety that really resonated with most everyone who saw it. Here’s a short piece CNN did on the video, with an interview with the director.
You may want to watch it here first to get the full impact, then come back and watch the CNN story.

I agree with Nedra – that is the $64 million question. Would also be interesting to learn more, from a social media perspective, about how it was publicized, and the methods that took it viral.
Don’t know about the impact on behavior, but there’s some good background info here on the making of Embrace Life that includes a discussion of the social media strategy behind the video launch. Check it out.
It is beautiful and people like it, but the big question is, did it change the behavior of those who saw it? Haven’t seen any research on that yet.
Always the $64k question, isn’t it? I like to think it’s so compelling that it makes people think twice about not buckling up. I already do so, so I can’t say it’s changed my behavior.
